Sleep Apnea: Symptoms and Side Effects.

Getting rid of snoring is essential if you or your partner suffers from it. Not only is snoring embarrassing but it should be taken as assign of impending health problems. Of all the sleep related problems, snoring is one of the most irritating and severe of all sleep related problems. Snoring is one of the leading reasons of sleep apnea and that is the reason that every snorer should start looking for a remedial measure to stop snoring.

'Apnea' is taken from Greek which means 'absence of breathing' and basically Sleep apnea means that you stop breathing during sleep. That should be able to help you get the picture how fatal Sleep Apnea can be. Broadly classified into two categories, Sleep Apnea is categorized as Obstructive Sleep Apnea and central Sleep Apnea.

The Obstructive Sleep Apnea is one of the most common forms of snoring related sleep disorders which occurs when the throat muscles relax and tissues fall back into the throat, causing undue blockages while breathing.

The other condition, Central Sleep Apnea occurs when the brain does not send proper signals to the respiratory muscles which control respiration during sleep. However, snoring has been directly linked to Sleep Apnea as the throat muscles and trachea work in coordination to breathe and while the person sleeps, the muscles relax leading to constant collapse of tissue and narrowing of the trachea.

The constant vibration as air passes through narrow air passages leads to the obnoxious noise that is known as snoring. The main issue that need to be dealt with while sleep apnea is that the person actually stops breathing for a few seconds which can be fatally damaging.

Another startling fact about Sleep Apnea is that it affects anyone at any age but is more prominent in older adult males. With changing lifestyle and sedentary living, even children are being diagnosed with Sleep Apnea.

However, a lot of research has pinpointed a few crucial reasons that lend a helping hand to snoring and sleep apnea to develop, which are:

Increase in weight and obesity lead to excess fat deposits in the neck area and even increase the tissue formation in air passages and trachea.

  • Age and sex is also a factor. Older men have higher chances of developing Sleep Apnea than women of the same age.
  • Alcohol consumption increases snoring as it relaxes the muscles in the body including the throat muscles.
  • Smoking adds to snoring and sleep apnea as it inflames the upper respiratory track and leads to narrowing of the air passages.
  • Tonsillitis and enlarged adenoids can block air passages leading to both snoring and sleep apnea.

Even though sleep apnea can turn fatal, it has many other serious issues that need to be addressed to stop negative health effects of sleep apnea. Depletion of oxygen in the brain is a direct issue and leads to poor concentration, constant drowsiness and lack of alertness in the brain. With overall drop in the oxygen supply to the brain makes carbon dioxide levels rise leading to intense toxic built up which is another cause of heart attacks and strokes.

Looking for a snoring remedy to sleep peacefully?

There is just no doubt that for those that are not getting the adequate nightly amounts of sleep on a regular basis will be dragging themselves around at some point of the day.  The feeling of being physically, mentally and even emotionally exhausted when the body and mind is sleep deprived.  There are many causes for the sleep deprivation that so quickly and easily sets in when it comes to the lack of sleep.

Maybe you are over working yourself and not getting enough hours of sleep that our bodies ultimately require, or maybe you are having issues with insomnia.  These are very obvious reasons for the dangerous problem of sleep deprivation to so quickly set in. But a huge number of us do not realize that so many times it is our snoring that is directly causing the sleep deprivation, and even ultimately more severe health issues later on in years.

When snoring is of a nightly habit that happens for months and even years at a time, there is now a huge amount of proof in so many related health risks that most always happens.  There will be the immediate ramifications of mental and physical lack of proper alertness, and then there will be the long-term dangers of heightened heart diseases, heightened stroke risks, and almost always blood pressure issues for those that snore nightly.

Not only are all of these health dangers and more a serious problem for the one that snore's, but also the dangers can often be even extra severe for those that try to sleep with the snoring individuals on a nightly basis. For those spouses or partners that share the room with a snoring individual will have to always fight to be the one that gets to sleep first before their snoring loved one, and even then they are awaken throughout the nights from the snorer.

The shared bedroom quickly becomes a battleground for peace and much needed restful sleep in most all cases.  There will be poking, prodding, pushing and even a grumpy yell to come from the non-snoring spouse or partner toward the snoring loved one. Quite frankly when you think about it, no one truly ever gets a good night's sleep for those that snore and those that are always exposed to the habitual snoring.

Time and time again, all of this snoring that is going on every night in a home will also cause extreme grief during the days just as much or even more during the days in an otherwise loving home.  The non-snoring spouse may give up on the poking and prodding, only to move out of the shared room. This may give the non-snoring individual a much better night of sleep night after night, but it will put an even larger rift within the marriage or partnership.

This will often cause the snoring individual to feel abandoned and alone on a nightly basis. But even worse is the wedge that is created from the nightly loss of intimacy due to the lack of the couple no longer sharing the bedroom. If this is your home, take the time to assess the situation, and do something good for your loving relationship and the health of both by ending the snoring for good with one of the many anti-snoring remedies out on the market today.

Snoring: Why should you stop?

Sleeping is an essential part of keeping fit and everyone requires at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep to be alert, efficient and concentrate well. However, if you seem to lose out on your essential sleep for any reason, there is constant drowsiness, lethargy and low levels of concentration. But what if your sleep debt keeps increasing everyday, just because your bed partner snores?

There are a high percentage of people who suffer from passive sleep deprivation due to the snoring bed partner. The person who snores gets disturbed all night through as they might get up gasping for air as proper breathing pattern gets interrupted, while the spouse ort the bed partner gets sleep deprived due to the obnoxious noise of snoring. Within a marriage, major rifts develop due to constant lack of sleep and higher irritability factors leading to a major reason of divorce.

The snoring spouse causes enough disturbances, which makes the non snoring husband or wife shift from the bedroom to other rooms. So, if you are facing the same problem it is time to take remedial measures. There are some simple cures that will help get your intimacy and marriage back on track but it may require a lot of patience from both the partners.

Knowing the reason of your or your partner's snoring is extremely important. Snoring can be caused by bone growth, allergies, side effect of various medications and being overweight, amongst many other reasons. Some simple home remedies that may benefit are:

  • Stop smoking and restrict the intake of alcohol before sleeping as it increases inflammation and swelling inside the throat, narrowing the air passages.

  • Do not eat dairy products at bedtime as it increases mucus formations that clog the windpipe.

  • Take harder pillows that support your neck and head at the proper angle for better breathing and keep the airways opened.

  • Sleeping on the side does help lessen snoring in many ways.

  • Drinking liquids keeps the throat lubricated lessening the chances of snoring.

  • Sleep on a fixed time which helps the body clock adjust to the timings and helps you get a good nights sleep even with mild snoring.

  • Asonor nasal Sprays work very well even on heavy snoring sleep patterns.

However, as each individual is different, the results from each product may vary. But clinically proven nasal drops work well, as they lubricate the throat and ease the air pathways, increasing better oxygen to be inhaled each time the person snores.

The most important result is that any remedy should do is to stop snoring or at least reduce the snoring for the individual. From the innumerable non invasive remedies available, it is bets to see what suits you and helps you to get the proper 8 hours of sleep every night. Not only will you benefit, but your partner or spouse is going to love it too. That is the best way to save your marriage and get your life back on track.

Snoring is the sound made by vibrations of the soft palate and other tissue in the mouth, nose & throat (upper airway). The vibrations is caused by a partial blockage that may be located anywhere from the the nose to the vocal chords.

See the education video from Asonor

The humanistic nature of snoring may be one of the oldest funny jokes for people to tease each other over. Making fun of those that snore may seem a lighthearted matter with many jokes and much humor to be had. But in reality health wise, snoring has now been found to be no laughing matter in the end.

Along with all the studies now being conducted upon those whom snore on a nightly basis and as to the exact reasons why they snore has become a hot topic of some very serious studies. There are also a growing number of studies with the abundance of as in how to solve the serious problem of snoring appropriately fitted to the snoring cause.

With all of the research through the years on snoring, there are a good number of immediate and accumulative types of various health issues found to commonly arise within most all of those problematic snoring individuals. There are the most common and immediate serious health issues of moderate to severe sleep deprivation problems, but over time there will be even more serious, and even deadly health illnesses directly linked to long-term regular nightly snoring.

There are many illnesses now being indirectly and directly linked to the seriousness of nightly snoring. Along with the sleep deprivation issues, there are heart disease issues, a rise in strokes, a higher number of diabetes inflictions, and more serious health problems are likely expected to be linked with nightly snoring. Erectile dysfunction was recently found to often be nightly snoring related, and in children, there is a linkage between snoring and ADHD, or also known uncontrollable hyper-activity within children.

With so many disease related issues linked to regular nightly snoring, why would anyone not start to take the issues of snoring much more seriously? Not to mention the toll nightly snoring takes on most every couple's marriage. Along with the marriage often being affected from the commonly loud obnoxious snoring within a couple's bedroom, there is now mounding evidence of the spouse living with the snoring night after night more often than not, takes a bigger toll on the non-snoring spouse's health than the one actually doing the snoring.

If you or your spouse is finally going to start taking the snoring issues in the home more seriously, there are some immediately methods that can easily be started with. One of the most commonly suggested methods is to prop many pillows all around the one that snores, so that they stay all night sleeping on their side.

Why Snoring Is So Noisy?

The sounds of snoring tends to occur when the muscles of the throat relaxes a little too much for the throat to slightly close up more than normal when sleeping.

As the sleeping person is found trying to breathe through a tunnel area, that is smaller than normal and directly causes the softest area of the palate to move with vibration.  It is this vibration that creates the loud noisy sounds that throughout history caused many people to be the one joked about or even moved out on into a separate sleeping quarters within a marriage.  According to several recent studies, there are at least 40 million suffers of regular nightly snoring in the United States alone. If you or your spouse is one of these regular nightly snoring victims, if the problem is not resolved, the snoring will only get longer throughout the night and louder in noise with the aging process.

For many understandable reasons, most doctors tend to prefer not to take invasive actions for the final relief of snoring, because of the pain and recovery time of surgery also being highly risk taking and costly.  Instead of jumping into the realms of anti snoring relief from surgery, many physicians first strongly suggest trying life changes and the many safe anti snoring remedies that are now available on the market shelves, such as the clinically tested nasal delivery system, Asonor. Today's doctors also highly recommend stopping smoking, losing weight, exercise more regularly, stop drinking alcoholic beverages, and to keep yourself sleeping on one side throughout the night with the means of packing pillows around your body.

If the snoring individual has become such to be suffering from extreme snoring and sleep apnea, there can be the purchase of oral devices that are to be fitted by a dentist for holding the jaw and tongue forward for keeping the airways better open.  Since sleep apnea is a serious health issue, there are also air pressure devices to stop the snoring.  One of the most popular ones is the Continuous Positive Airway Pressure device.  The way it works is by wearing a mask throughout the night that will force air pressure of the air down the throat airway and hold the air passage clear and open. No matter what kind of snoring that is being down and how you decide to go about stopping it, the most important point is to stop snoring for good so to finally get the night's sleep that you and all those around you deserves.

New Clinically Proven Anti-Snore Remedies

There is more anti-snoring remedy out there than ever before, and this is directly because there is now more snoring going on than ever before.  With the increase of the many snoring issues that has grown within the average population today, there has to be many more reasons for as to why there are so many more individuals with snoring problems.

In the average societal population of the United States alone, there are added stresses, bad living habits, environmental factors, medications, and being overweight.  In America alone, there are more people getting less of the nightly required sleep than ever before.  On the average, a person slept no less than 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night as of only 20 to 30 years ago.  The average current night's sleep for most individuals now is less than 6 hours per a night, and women are particularly sleep deprived with even as little as 5 hours a night.

Snoring due to constant exhaustion can be resolved by getting a much-needed full night's sleep on a regular basis. In fact, there are many snoring causes that may be resolved naturally just by changing the ways of particularly bad life styles.  Take snoring due to being overweight for example.  Just by loosing the extra pounds, you will be loosing the fat around your neck area too.  This is important if you are a regular nightly snoring individual, because the fat around the neck more often than not will impede proper breathing airways while sleeping.

If you are a person that does not properly take care of themselves in the ways of smoking or drinking alcoholic beverages within the evening hours, you are more likely than not to be a regular nightly snoring individual.  These are simple issues to resolve by stopping the smoking all together and limit any alcoholic beverages to only one several hours before bedtime, not right before laying down to sleep.

It is recommended to also stop all medications that are not doctor prescribed, and for those that are required by your physician can be individually discussed with your doctor to further investigate other options for medications if they are directly causing the nightly snoring.

While you are losing weight, changing your life style or any other reason for helping resolve your snoring issue, there are useful anti-snoring remedies such the new clinically proven Asonor nasal delivery system from TannerMedico to ending your snoring problem.

Obesity leads to Serious Snoring.

For those that regularly snore and those having to live with the snoring person, they are more than likely, desperately sleep deprived on a daily basis due to so many hours of constant loss of nightly sleep.  Time and time again, snoring individuals have been trying to once and for all find a working final resolution to their snoring problems, and more often than not, they just can't seem to find the proper fitting anti-snoring remedy to bring a peaceful night's sleep.

One of the reasons that so many people that are searching for that perfect working anti-snoring remedy just can't seem to find the best fitting one to end their nightly snoring is because they just may not have realized that there are a number of reasons in general that specifically causes nightly snoring problems to begin with.  While searching to resolve a snoring problem, there are anti-snoring solutions for solving the many variations to stop snoring.  For many snoring individuals, there must be the realization that it often takes time to find the best working snoring products, methods, or devices.

If you are not one that has sleep apnea, which is a more serious form of snoring more often than not, there will be a need to see a sleep specialist.  If this is not the case, you then are a good candidate for a good over-the-counter anti-sleeping remedy, method or mouthpiece device.  But before the best fitting anti-snoring solution will be found, you must do a little research within your daily habits so to better determine a narrowing of what specifically may be causing the nightly snoring to begin with.

When you stop to think about it, what are your overall daily habits, foods, medications, regular hours of sleep, and your health as a whole?  If you are an overweight individual or taking any over-the-counter medicines, and or doctor prescribed medications, these are all very strong causes for nightly snoring.  These are areas of changes or elimination that you have control over fixing your snoring by loosing weight and changing any medication with sedative types of side effects.

The constant lacking the proper amounts of sleep on a regular basis and another causes of snoring, related to the amounts of dairy products and or alcoholic beverages that you are consuming on a regular basis.  Dairy products can sometimes create thick mucus within the throat that will often block the airflow during the throat's relaxation position of sleep. Since alcoholic beverages are often similar to a sedative, it is best to avoid alcohol all together, or only limit it to one drink no later than 2 to 3 hours before bedtime.

Just as the foods and liquids that an individual intake by choice, the same goes for the amount of hours of sleep a person chooses to try to get on a regular basis.  It is best to go to bed at a regular set bedtime and to try for a good 7 to 8 hours of sleep every night, because excessive tiredness is known to be related to nightly snoring.

If none of these life-style changes tend to cure the snoring problem, choose one or two over-the-counter anti-snoring products like the anti-snoring herbal throat sprays or anti-snoring nose strips that keep the nostrils fully open throughout the night.  If these don't seem quite fitting, move on to a good anti-snoring nasal spray or a good form fitting anti-snoring pillow, to better posture your breathing passages throughout the night. There are also anti-snoring form fitting dental appliances and anti-snoring chin straps that may cost a little more, but very well could be more than worth it when there no longer is a snoring problem to contend with.

Diet, Obesity and Snoring--read the connection!

There are many problems that snoring can directly and indirectly cause.  Not only can snoring annoy a bed partner to move out, but also there is now plenty of evidence that snoring has broken up more marriages than originally ever thought. Although snoring has always been a problem throughout human history, but the overall problem of snoring has now become to be directly affecting at least one in seven Americans and these statistics are only getting worse when looking further around the world population.  Not to mention that the snoring will also be a huge problem for all of those that must live with the one's that snore.

Since surgery is only an option in the worst of cases, the more common ways to get relief from nightly snoring is to find the most individually fitting methods that can be found over the counter or even just by making some vital changes to your daily life style and habits.  When dealing with snoring directly, it is best to at first start analyzing how you live from day to day.  By checking all of your medications, many people will find that there is a regular medication or two that is more of a sedative form and these types of medications will cause snoring in many people.

Another thing to experiment with is keeping track of what you eat and when you eat your foods.   Some people have found that there are certain foods, such as milk and milk products that will sit back in the throat and coating the airways with the built up mucus, and this will cause some people to snore.  Another problem with foods and snoring occurs when individuals eat large meals too late into the evening.  It is always best to eat lighter meals and eating dinner earlier in the evening. You should also not drink alcoholic beverages especially before bedtime, because alcohol is a sedative that will cause the throat to relax too much during sleep and this is a main factor in snoring.

If you are one that is overweight or especially if you are obese, just by loosing the weight you can loose your snoring problem.  Eat less throughout the day; eat foods that are lighter and healthy, not the fast quick foods, but fresh fruits and vegetables instead.  Make sure to start a regular exercise regime for better optimum overall heath and weight loss.  Make sure to eliminate bad habits such as smoking and not getting enough nightly sleep.  In America alone, very few people now get the proper amount of very important and much needed sleep on a nightly basis.  It is now known that when there is a severe lack of sleep deprivation, there will be a heightened problem with snoring when you are finally sleeping.  Going to bed at a decent hour every night and getting the much-needed 7 to 8 hours of sleep every night can remedy this.

When having to go a little further in finding the snoring remedy that is fitting just for you, there are many affordable options of anti-snoring methods out on today's market like the clinically tested and proven Asonor Nasal Delivery System, easy to use and help more than 70% of the snorer.

How snoring affects a relationship?

A spouse's snoring can affect even the strongest of relationships. This is due to the sleep deprivation that either both spouses or one spouse experiences, which in turn causes that non-snoring spouse to become annoyed, irritated, and even resentful.

Studies have shown that over half of the couples who participated agree that the majority of arguments can be traced back to one spouse's snoring problem. These same studies found that most of those couples are sleeping in separate rooms, which can have a huge negative impact on their relationship. Some spouses even confessed that the snoring problem become so bad that they contemplated divorce.

Those couples that end up sleeping in separate rooms often find more than just the lack of intimacy missing within their relationship. The snorer often ends up feeling isolated and frustrated about a problem that they feel they have no control over. The couple's relationship ends up breaking down outside of the bedroom – their day to day lives become affected. Their performance at work can become poor, which in turn may lead to the loss of that job resulting in stress from financial problems. This is also compounded by the stress that both spouses are feeling physically from the lack of sleep they're experiencing.

There is hope though, if their relationship is strong and both are willing to work together, they will be able to get past this hurtle. However, they need to be supportive of one another and be willing to do what it takes for both of them to be happy.

There are some things to try before seeing a doctor. There is a wealth of home remedies that could easily become the cure that saves their relationship, some of which are:

  • nasal strips that help to open the nasal passage
  • The new nasal delivery Asonor system. Clinically proven and easy to use.
  • Refraining from eating anything three hours before going to bed.
  • Drinking alcohol has an effect on the body that relaxes the muscles, including those of the nose and throat, which in turn narrows the air passage ways and causes snoring, so it's best to avoid it before going to bed.

There are many things you can do at home that will hopefully ease tensions within a couple's relationship. However, be aware that there might be an underlying larger health problem that might be the cause of the snoring. By testing home remedies, one can be sure if the snoring is not due to a larger cause if they end up not working.

Snoring can be a huge problem within a relationship if the couple isn't willing to compromise and work together. However, snoring can put a strain on any relationship – just remember why you are in the relationship in the first place and that your partner wants to do what they can to have both of you in the same bed again.
