ADHD in Kids: Is snoring the real reason?
With so much more research focus now happening over the last two to three decades beyond all of that combined within our human history more than ever before, there is no doubt about the strengthened admirable fight that has finally been launched against snoring. When it comes to snoring in general, the middle age to older adults tends to get the most accusations for being the worst when it has came to habitual snoring. But in reality, this is not true when it comes to the real nature of the on going snoring problem in America and around the world for that matter.
Not so long after the further deepened research of today's society's habitual adult snorers started to truly surface, the underlying astonishing realities of childhood snoring then began to giveaway in extensive preciseness of on-going present and future damages. It is now known that there are approximately 3% to 12% of today's children in the age's range of the preschool to early elementary school years that are considered nightly snorers. These are numbers that do not include those children of occasional snorers because they are not in the danger zones of being considered as unsafe.
But for the rest of the children that snore every night within those age ranges and the even further expanded ages very well may be in some form of present of future jeopardy directly due to the snoring issue. Not only does the continuous snoring quickly become an immediate health risk of the future, but also it is one of the leading causes to what is now so well known as ADHD or what is also defined as the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
Not only is ADHD a very serious problem for children because of the ending results of very little to no means in the most appropriate attention that is needed in school and many other of life's learning activities. When the problems of ADHD are happening, there are a good number of parents, teachers and doctors out there that will no doubt start the ball rolling toward the means of resolution, by the sole method of prescription medications.
These various ADHD medications just may be the right choice for a few of these diagnosed kids, but for most of these children, this is the wrong diagnosis. The reason for the wrong diagnosis is specifically caused by the lack of sleep due to the snoring issues that are happening every night. This is a horrible misdiagnosis for many reasons, but the main one is the medication that these children are prescribed to take in the end.
If your child is one that has been diagnosed with ADHD, there must be a very thorough observance to really see if the daily hyper activity and lack of concentration is really being caused by the bad nights of sleep that is due to the snoring. If this is the case, then stopping the snoring for good with one of the many highly safe anti-snoring remedies is the true answer of relieve and happiness that a good parent would want for their child.
Sleep Apnea: Symptoms and Side Effects.
Getting rid of snoring is essential if you or your partner suffers from it. Not only is snoring embarrassing but it should be taken as assign of impending health problems. Of all the sleep related problems, snoring is one of the most irritating and severe of all sleep related problems. Snoring is one of the leading reasons of sleep apnea and that is the reason that every snorer should start looking for a remedial measure to stop snoring.
'Apnea' is taken from Greek which means 'absence of breathing' and basically Sleep apnea means that you stop breathing during sleep. That should be able to help you get the picture how fatal Sleep Apnea can be. Broadly classified into two categories, Sleep Apnea is categorized as Obstructive Sleep Apnea and central Sleep Apnea.
The Obstructive Sleep Apnea is one of the most common forms of snoring related sleep disorders which occurs when the throat muscles relax and tissues fall back into the throat, causing undue blockages while breathing.
The other condition, Central Sleep Apnea occurs when the brain does not send proper signals to the respiratory muscles which control respiration during sleep. However, snoring has been directly linked to Sleep Apnea as the throat muscles and trachea work in coordination to breathe and while the person sleeps, the muscles relax leading to constant collapse of tissue and narrowing of the trachea.
The constant vibration as air passes through narrow air passages leads to the obnoxious noise that is known as snoring. The main issue that need to be dealt with while sleep apnea is that the person actually stops breathing for a few seconds which can be fatally damaging.
Another startling fact about Sleep Apnea is that it affects anyone at any age but is more prominent in older adult males. With changing lifestyle and sedentary living, even children are being diagnosed with Sleep Apnea.
However, a lot of research has pinpointed a few crucial reasons that lend a helping hand to snoring and sleep apnea to develop, which are:
Increase in weight and obesity lead to excess fat deposits in the neck area and even increase the tissue formation in air passages and trachea.
- Age and sex is also a factor. Older men have higher chances of developing Sleep Apnea than women of the same age.
- Alcohol consumption increases snoring as it relaxes the muscles in the body including the throat muscles.
- Smoking adds to snoring and sleep apnea as it inflames the upper respiratory track and leads to narrowing of the air passages.
- Tonsillitis and enlarged adenoids can block air passages leading to both snoring and sleep apnea.
Even though sleep apnea can turn fatal, it has many other serious issues that need to be addressed to stop negative health effects of sleep apnea. Depletion of oxygen in the brain is a direct issue and leads to poor concentration, constant drowsiness and lack of alertness in the brain. With overall drop in the oxygen supply to the brain makes carbon dioxide levels rise leading to intense toxic built up which is another cause of heart attacks and strokes.

Looking for a snoring remedy to sleep peacefully?
There is just no doubt that for those that are not getting the adequate nightly amounts of sleep on a regular basis will be dragging themselves around at some point of the day. The feeling of being physically, mentally and even emotionally exhausted when the body and mind is sleep deprived. There are many causes for the sleep deprivation that so quickly and easily sets in when it comes to the lack of sleep.
Maybe you are over working yourself and not getting enough hours of sleep that our bodies ultimately require, or maybe you are having issues with insomnia. These are very obvious reasons for the dangerous problem of sleep deprivation to so quickly set in. But a huge number of us do not realize that so many times it is our snoring that is directly causing the sleep deprivation, and even ultimately more severe health issues later on in years.
When snoring is of a nightly habit that happens for months and even years at a time, there is now a huge amount of proof in so many related health risks that most always happens. There will be the immediate ramifications of mental and physical lack of proper alertness, and then there will be the long-term dangers of heightened heart diseases, heightened stroke risks, and almost always blood pressure issues for those that snore nightly.
Not only are all of these health dangers and more a serious problem for the one that snore's, but also the dangers can often be even extra severe for those that try to sleep with the snoring individuals on a nightly basis. For those spouses or partners that share the room with a snoring individual will have to always fight to be the one that gets to sleep first before their snoring loved one, and even then they are awaken throughout the nights from the snorer.
The shared bedroom quickly becomes a battleground for peace and much needed restful sleep in most all cases. There will be poking, prodding, pushing and even a grumpy yell to come from the non-snoring spouse or partner toward the snoring loved one. Quite frankly when you think about it, no one truly ever gets a good night's sleep for those that snore and those that are always exposed to the habitual snoring.
Time and time again, all of this snoring that is going on every night in a home will also cause extreme grief during the days just as much or even more during the days in an otherwise loving home. The non-snoring spouse may give up on the poking and prodding, only to move out of the shared room. This may give the non-snoring individual a much better night of sleep night after night, but it will put an even larger rift within the marriage or partnership.
This will often cause the snoring individual to feel abandoned and alone on a nightly basis. But even worse is the wedge that is created from the nightly loss of intimacy due to the lack of the couple no longer sharing the bedroom. If this is your home, take the time to assess the situation, and do something good for your loving relationship and the health of both by ending the snoring for good with one of the many anti-snoring remedies out on the market today.
